Welcome to Leader Builder. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Moonshinerxwerks LLC ("Moonshinerxwerks," "we," "our," or "us") that governs your use of the Leader Builder mobile application and any companion web experience (collectively, the "App"). Please read them carefully.
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms take effect the first time you use the App and remain in effect for as long as you continue to use it. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App and update the "Last Updated" date above; your continued use after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance.
Leader Builder is a fly-fishing utility that lets you:
The App is a personal-use tool. It is not professional fishing, casting, or safety advice, and we make no claims about the performance, suitability, or safety of any gear you record in it.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Leader Builder. The App is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. See Section 11 of our Privacy Policy for details.
Account creation is required to sync your gear and recipes across devices. We support three sign-in methods:
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your sign-in credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at info@moonshinerxwerks.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
The fly rods, custom leaders, custom catalog entries, recipes, notes, and favorites you create in the App ("Your Content") belong to you. We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
For the licenses described below, Your Content falls into two categories:
You grant Moonshinerxwerks a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the App to you — including syncing it between your devices and surfacing it back to you in the App's interface. This license terminates when you delete Your Content or close your account, except to the extent retained in routine backups for the limited period described in our Privacy Policy.
Separately, you grant Moonshinerxwerks a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, analyze, and combine your Pairing Data with the Pairing Data of other users in aggregate and de-identified form — meaning your name, email, account identifier, and any Personal Expression are stripped out before the data is used — to:
We will not share, sell, or publish your Personal Expression to other users, and we will not attribute any recommendation to you by name, handle, or any other identifier without your separate, explicit opt-in.
If a future version of the App introduces an opt-in attributed sharing or community feature — where Your Content is shown to other users as having come from you — those features will be governed by additional terms presented to you at the time you turn them on.
You represent that Your Content does not infringe anyone else's rights, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights, and does not contain unlawful, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable material. You are solely responsible for Your Content and the consequences of recording it in the App.
The App ships with a studio-curated catalog of rod brands, rod models, fly lines, sink-tips, and leader materials. This catalog and the underlying database are the property of Moonshinerxwerks and are licensed to you on a non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable basis solely for personal use inside the App. You may not export, scrape, redistribute, or build a competing catalog from this data.
Brand names, model names, and trademarks referenced in the curated catalog are the property of their respective owners. Their inclusion does not imply endorsement of Leader Builder by those owners.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these rules — see Section 10.
Leader Builder does not currently offer paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. The App is free to use.
If we introduce paid features in the future, the pricing, billing cycle, free-trial terms (if any), and refund policy for those features will be presented to you before you are charged, and a "Subscriptions" or "Manage subscription" surface will be added to the App. Subscriptions purchased through Apple or Google are billed and managed by Apple or Google according to their own terms; refund requests for those purchases must be made through the platform that processed the transaction.
Leader Builder participates in the Amazon Associates Program. Catalog items may include a "Buy on Amazon" button that opens amazon.com — in your browser or the Amazon app — with an Amazon Associates affiliate tag attached. If you make a qualifying purchase during that session, Amazon pays Moonshinerxwerks LLC a small commission at no additional cost to you.
The affiliate relationship does not influence which products we include in the curated catalog or which products we recommend in the App. Once you leave Leader Builder for amazon.com, Amazon's own Terms of Use and Privacy Notice apply to your activity there.
As an Amazon Associate, Moonshinerxwerks LLC earns from qualifying purchases.
If you obtained the App from Apple's App Store or Google Play, the following also apply:
Your use of the App through Apple or Google is also subject to those platforms' usage rules.
We work to keep the App available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, third-party outages (including outages at Supabase or PowerSync), or causes beyond our reasonable control.
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. If we plan to remove a feature that materially affects how you use the App, we will give you reasonable advance notice in the App where practical.
During any beta or pre-release phase, the App may exhibit bugs, inaccuracies, and unfinished behavior.
You may stop using the App at any time. You may request account deletion by emailing info@moonshinerxwerks.com from the email address associated with your account. Once we confirm the request, your account and Your Content will be removed as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, that your account has been compromised, that legal process requires it, or that continued access poses a risk to other users or to our infrastructure. We will use reasonable efforts to notify you of a termination when we can.
On termination, your right to use the App ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 4.4, 4.5, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 — will survive.
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING OUT OF COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. ANY GEAR RECOMMENDATIONS, RECIPES, OR SPECS DISPLAYED IN THE APP — WHETHER FROM OUR CURATED CATALOG OR FROM YOUR OWN ENTRIES — ARE FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND ARE NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL JUDGMENT. YOU USE THE APP AT YOUR OWN RISK AND ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY FISHING, CASTING, OR SAFETY DECISIONS YOU MAKE.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the exclusions above may not apply to you.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MOONSHINERXWERKS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES — ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the limitations above may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Moonshinerxwerks and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) Your Content, (b) your use of the App in violation of these Terms or applicable law, or (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the App will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Deschutes County, Oregon, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you may have under the consumer-protection laws of your country, state, or province of residence.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be effective on the "Last Updated" date shown at the top of this document. For material changes, we will surface an in-app notice on your next sign-in. Your continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
