LDR | BLDR ("we," "our," or "us") is a fly-fishing utility app built by Moonshinerxwerks LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the LDR | BLDR mobile application and any companion web experience (collectively, the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

We have designed LDR | BLDR to collect as little personal information as possible. We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or third-party trackers. The only personal data we hold about you is what you need an account for and what you choose to enter while building out your gear catalog and recipes.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you sign in, we collect the information your chosen sign-in method provides:

Sign in with Apple — a unique identifier from Apple and the email address Apple shares. If you choose Apple's "Hide My Email" option, we only ever receive Apple's private-relay address; your real email is not shared with us.
Sign in with Google — a unique identifier from Google, the email address tied to your Google account, and the display name on that account.
Email + Password — the email address you provide and a password. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed by Supabase Auth before being written to our database.

We do not collect your phone number, address, date of birth, or any government identifier.

2.2 Content You Create

LDR | BLDR is a leader-recipe app. The content you create stays scoped to your account and includes:

Fly rods you add to your collection (brand, model, length, line weight, pieces, type)
Recipes linking a rod to a line, leader, and optional tip, plus any notes or purpose you record
Custom leaders you build, including their butt / taper / tippet sections
Custom catalog entries you create for fly lines, sink-tips, or leader materials that aren't already in our curated catalog
Favorites — items you have marked as part of your personal collection

This content is yours. We use it only to provide the App to you, to sync it across your devices, and to help us answer support requests if you contact us about it.

2.3 Curated Catalog Data (Read-Only)

The App downloads our curated catalog of rod brands, rod models, and commonly used fly lines, sink-tips, and leader materials so it can work offline. This catalog is studio-maintained and does not contain personal information about you or anyone else.

2.4 Technical Information

LDR | BLDR does not transmit device telemetry, crash reports, or analytics events to any server. If you contact us for support and choose to share details about your device (model, operating system version, app version) in your email, we will use that information to help troubleshoot the issue and nothing else.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

Authenticate you and keep you signed in across devices
Store and sync the rods, recipes, and catalog entries you create
Display the studio-curated catalog so you can build recipes
Respond to your support requests, bug reports, and feature suggestions
Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing personalization, behavioral profiling, or any form of analytics about you as an individual.

4. How Your Data Is Stored and Synced

Your account and content are stored in a Postgres database hosted by Supabase in the United States. The App syncs that data to your device's local storage so that you can use it offline; the sync layer is provided by PowerSync, which streams only the rows scoped to your user account.

When you sign out, the local copy of your data on your device is cleared. When you sign back in, your data is re-synced from the Supabase database.

5. How We Use Aggregate Data to Improve the App

Some features of LDR | BLDR work better as more anglers use the App. To support those features, we may use a narrow slice of the content you create — what we call "Pairing Data" in our Terms of Service — in aggregate and de-identified form.

5.1 What Pairing Data Is

Pairing Data is the structured gear-pairing choices you make: which curated fly line, leader, and sink-tip you assign to a given rod, and the water conditions you associate with that pairing. It does not include any text you write yourself.

5.2 What We Strip Out Before Use

Before any Pairing Data is used outside of serving the App back to you, we remove the identifiers that connect it to you, including:

Your name, email address, and account identifier
Any nicknames, recipe titles, notes, purpose descriptions, custom rod or gear names, or other free-text fields you have entered (collectively, your "Personal Expression")
The creation timestamps and any other metadata that could be used to single out your account

Once stripped, the remaining data describes only that, for example, "a 5-weight rod of this model is often paired with this line and this leader" — not who made that pairing.

5.3 What We May Use It For

We may use de-identified Pairing Data to:

Improve the App and its underlying data model
Generate suggested lines, leaders, and tips for a given rod and set of water conditions
Surface popularity signals inside the App or a future companion experience (for example, "this line is commonly paired with this rod")

5.4 What We Will Not Do With Your Content

We will not share, sell, or publish your Personal Expression — the notes, recipe titles, custom names, or anything else you wrote in your own words — to other users.
We will not attribute any recommendation or popularity signal to you by name, handle, email, or any other identifier without your separate, explicit opt-in.
If we introduce a future opt-in feature that shows Your Content to other users as having come from you, we will present additional terms before you turn it on and you will be able to turn it back off.

6. What We Do Not Do

For clarity, LDR | BLDR:

Does not use analytics SDKs (no Sentry, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar)
Does not display third-party advertising
Does not contain third-party trackers
Does not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, calendar, motion, or health data
Does not collect biometric data
Does not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone for any purpose
Does not share your personal information with other LDR | BLDR users (subject to the de-identified, aggregate-only carve-out described in Section 5)

7. Third-Party Services We Use

LDR | BLDR relies on a small number of third-party services to function. Each handles your data only as needed to deliver its part of the App:

We encourage you to review their policies. These providers are bound by contractual and platform obligations limiting how they may use the data they process on our behalf.

7.1 Note on Amazon affiliate links

Catalog items in LDR | BLDR include an optional "Buy on Amazon" button. Tapping it opens amazon.com in your browser or the Amazon app with an Amazon Associates affiliate tag attached. We do not see who tapped the button, what you searched for, or what you purchased — that information stays with Amazon and is governed by Amazon's own privacy notice. Amazon reports aggregated, non-identifying commission and click totals back to us so we can tell whether the affiliate program is funding the App's operating costs. As an Amazon Associate, Moonshinerxwerks LLC earns from qualifying purchases — at no additional cost to you.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) or the CCPA/CPRA (California), including the right to:

Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
Correction — request that inaccurate data be corrected
Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated data
Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format

To exercise any of these rights, email info@moonshinerxwerks.com from the email address associated with your account. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.

You can delete your account at any time from inside the App (Settings → Delete account), or by emailing info@moonshinerxwerks.com from your account's email address.

When you delete your account, we permanently remove your authentication record (your sign-in identity and email address), your favorites, and all of your Personal Expression — casting notes, recipe notes, purpose descriptions, and any other free text you wrote. We retain the structured gear-pairing choices you created (which rod pairs with which line, leader, tip, and water conditions) in de-identified form, with every link to you removed, as described in Section 5. Curated catalog data is not associated with you and is not affected. The removal of your identity and Personal Expression cannot be undone.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your authentication record, favorites, and Personal Expression are removed from our live database immediately and from backups within 30 days. The de-identified Pairing Data described in Section 5 may be retained after that point, since it no longer identifies you. Support emails you send us are retained for a reasonable period to maintain a record of resolved issues.

10. Security

We protect your information with industry-standard safeguards:

All communication between the App and our servers uses encrypted HTTPS / TLS connections.
Supabase encrypts data at rest in the underlying database.
Passwords are hashed by Supabase Auth before storage — we never see or store your plain-text password.
Your local cache is cleared when you sign out of the App.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we take commercially reasonable steps to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

LDR | BLDR is a general-audience utility intended for adults. The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us information can contact us at info@moonshinerxwerks.com.

12. International Users

LDR | BLDR is operated from the United States, and the data we hold on your behalf is stored in the United States. By using the App, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States and that U.S. data-protection laws may differ from those of your home country.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. If changes are material, we will surface a prominent notice in the App on your next sign-in. Your continued use of the App after a change takes effect indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
